Settlers (or more correctly settlers of Catan) is a German board game ( siedlers). The game is such fun as to have achieved a sort of cult status. It is a game that combines barter with strategy and it is challenging and at the same time fun to play. Several keen Hobby Gamers regard Settlers as being a starting point before moving on to Puerto Rico
