Bashim Durdyev was one of the youngest members and looks more youthful than his age of the Turkmenistani Draughts playing family. He is also a very strong Chess player as was only discovered when he took over from Demis Hassabis's seat in a friendly game of Exchange Chess. As Bashim did not speak any English the trio of remaining players (all with World Champion titles in various games) tried to work out if the pairings were still right. Only to find out his chess grade started with a 2!
